Translation: I WANT the M3 convertible. Does that make the BMW fanboys feel better? Either that or an M6.

this thing will outsell the VW Rs4 by 10 times if not more.. Pure genius.

Sure, the BMW M3 might outsell the VW RS4, but is the M3 a better car than the RS4?

That is the real question.

According to most auto-reviews done by trusted publications and magazines the answer is...NOPE!

The Audi RS4 has defeated the BMW M3 (V8) verison at least 4 times now, and the RS4 has only been defeated twice.

Better luck next time BMW.....you failed to defeat the basically out of production B7 RS4 and only matched it in horsepower.

You are now going to face the wrath of a twin-turbo V8 featuring 450 horsepower and read this....500 lb./ft of torque courtesy of the Audi RS5 and a twin-turbo V6 B8 Audi RS4.

Get ready to be defeated....again by Audi.

Not if it has to look as disfigured/ill-proportioned as the 328/335 retractables.

Well, maybe just keep the top down most of the time, or get it in black- that is the best color for most hardtops.

germannut.. cant sell enough used cars lately?? hahah. audi's marketing is flawed... 2 year "limited production" rs4 has to be that way because the regular m3 will beat it on any givne day with a much more desireable brand at 15K less. in my business that is a flawed marketing and positioning strategy.. the rs4 cannot be in production when the like for liek M3 is.. it will get destroyed on value positioning and brand erosion. but what woudl you know.. keep sellin the IS250..!!! have your plastic tie on today? now repeat after me.."what will it take to put you into this toyota today?"

Honestly, I still think that the outgoing M3 is absolutely fantastic. I love the 6 cylinder engine and the 333hp and the driving characteristics.

I really love that car. It's really a good car.

This new M3 is a bit of a technological masterpiece and in order to compete, they has to go with the 8 cylinder, but IMO some of the purity of the old model has gone. Looking at this car, with all this weight and technology and the V8, it really is almost like an expensive Evo ... still great, but, I like the outgoing M3 more.

I agree 100%. I owned a '91 3 Series coupe and that car was great. There was no electonic gadetry and it made me a better driver since I had to learn to handle the snow with no help from the car. But some companies are making bad trade-offs, technology at the expense of the driving experience.
