BMW has demonstrated a new park assist technology that would enable a vehicle to park itself in a garage while the vehicle is unoccupied.

Part of BMW's Connected Drive initiative, the new system takes park assist technology like that found in the Toyota Prius, which requires the driver's input and presence, to an entirely new level. According to Raymond Freymann, BMW's managing director of Group Research and Technology, the new system could be on the market within three years. A video of the system in action is available by clicking on the article link.
