Under 7 seconds to 60 for a 3 litre diesel.

Amazing.

Best engine in the X5 is still a diesel, the way it's been since 2003.

And it's as powerful as the original 4.4 V8 that BMW used from 1996-2003 across the range.

Yep. The post-facelift X5 4.4i V8 had about 320 horsepower and did 0-62 in ... exactly 7 seconds flat.

See anything here?

The pre-facelift model had 286 hp too...

big coincidences...CONSPIRACY

Do you think the next 7 will get this engine to replace the 730d or in addition to it?

More Important is that the 3.0sd has the same 0-60 times as the Range Rover Sport Supercharged 4.2Petrol

That tells me a lot about Land Rover, Ford & Jaguar.
(Same Jaguar 4.2 used in Range Supercharged Series)

Don't hold your "I can't afford an X5" breaths. Most buyers in the states won't own a diesel. It's sad, but a fact.

Is this the same diesel as the 535d? I know Top Gear isn't a very good source for info but didn't Jeremy sort of hate it?

Wow! Thats almost as fast as my 4.8l V8, with double the fuel economy! But anyways in the UAE deisel is more expensive than petrol.... so I guess it won't really matter.

Cost of petroleum based fuel matters to someone who can afford an X5 in the UAE???

The world is coming to an end!!! Get a hybrid and save it ;)

A Super Diesel Engine for the best SAV! Forget jap. hybrid and V8 diesel. This 6 cylinder twinturbo diesel is the best.

Note 1: I buy only diesel cars.

Note 2: Don`t buy a japan hybrid and you save the world!
