BMW builds last Z4 in US
The next-generation of the BMW Z4 is expected to make its official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November, but the current generation of the car is still in dealerships across the country.

The final example of the more than 9,300 cars to roll off the assembly line at BMW’s Spartanburg plant did so last Thursday, marking the end of U.S. production of the car’s current life-cycle.

I like the Z4's. I hope the coupe gets the twin turbo 6 in it. It is just priced a little too high i think, especially with the 1 series on the market.
it is better than a boxster!

the z4 was too modern. it was too far ahead of its time. i liked the way the rear and sides looked, but the headlights just looked so un-BMW like.

For a car that made its debut in 2002 and it still looks modern and exciting? C'mon... this is a styling GOAL. The Z4 still looks exciting and edgy in my books. I love it very much so. The interior could use a LITTLE work, but it is still quite nice. Spartan, yet comfortable, luxurious, and sporty.

End ramble.

Z4: Not a pretty sight. Ditto with a lot of what BMW puts out, and I love the brand! Similarly, even their motorcycles have "polarizing" styling (the R1200ST was called one of the ugliest motorcycles made by some. Shortly afterwards, BMW stopped importing it into the US).

Oh well. We know BMW *can* build attractive cars. I just wish they would do so again.
