BMW considering X4 as a baby BMW X6
First there was the BMW X5; then followed the X3; then BMW tried to fit the X6 somewhere in the middle. After killing plans to do an X7, BMW last week showed the BMW Concept X1 which will hit the markets in 2010. But wait - there’s more.

Ever since CEO Norbert Reithofer became boss two years ago, BMW has been quick and decisive about new products rather than just focusing on its sedans and wagons. So what’s next for Bavarian Motor Works?

According to insiders BMW is working on an X4 - a baby X6 if you will. It’s still...

You should be nervous!

BMW is sucking the life out of Lexus and it's soul less designs and lack luster performance in every model..

Lexus does have one particularly good design incorporated into one of their concepts - the LF-Xh in matte black. But TOO BAD IT'LL BE TONED DOWN FOR THE PRODUCTION MODEL AS ALWAYS!!!

...the complicated concave and convex curves...thick strips of chrome here and there...and for once, black rims that actually match the car...the matte black LF-Xh is a thing of beauty.

The fact that Lexus goes conservative on production vehicles is what sets them apart from BMW and Mercedes.

bmw needs more suv's, they have more space to carry the parts that fall off of them.

You must have meant to say:

bmw needs more suv's, they have more space to carry the parts that fall off of the toyota's and lexus' on the roads in front of them.

BMW sells vehicles in so many different markets around the world. It is great to see them utilize their world class design and manufacturing capability to satisfy demand for premium vehicles in so many highly varied niches.

watch for the home version coming to a store near you.

STOP THE INSANITY!!!!! They are really going overboard with the SUVs, excuse me SAVs. I can understand the X1, X3, and X5, but the X6 is useless, as will a potential younger sibling to it. The news only gets worse that BMW M is developing an X5M and X6M INSTEAD of an M3 CSL, they have to be retarded. They should have learned from the Porsche Cayenne, they won't sell that many Cayenne Turbo S equivalents.

SAV = Stupid Activity (an activity for some BMW designers and engineers) Vehicles.

Come on, the X3 and X5 are necessary, the X6 and X1 maybe. But not a bloody X4 and X7 and X8 and X2 and X9 and X10 and X11 because sooner or later BMW will have more SAV models than normal passenger vehicles.

OHHHHH COME ON!!! You can't be serious! What was wrong with the good old days when we had THREE models?!? Now we have the 1, 3, 5, 7, X1, X3 ,X5, X6, PAS (or whatever), Z4, rumored Z8, M1 and CS-four door fast back, not to mention two different minis and a Rolls... And now this?!?!? I think BMW is moving for the Guinness Record for most ridiculous model lineup!
It is not because I don't like BMW, I love many of their models, but it is just getting too damn ridiculous with all these models! BMW - If you can think it up, we've got it!

The X1 makes sense here in Europe, we normally drives smaller car than you in the us. The X4 could make sense here, since the X6 is to big for Europe. If they make it, they could make it as a sporty 3 door then and not with 5 doors.
But maybee just make a nicer 3 series for a start, and a Z2 thats more the time right now.

Well, if you can't meet fuel economy legislation, just reclassify your entire lineup to Sports-Activity-Something.

I'm sure this will be another smash-hit when BMW limits production to 5000 units a year.

You would think Toyota would learn how to limit their production so they wouldn't have to stoop to ZERO percent financing to move their tin cans, but then again even Toyota stated that it doesn't seem to be having an effect on sales.

ZERO PERCENT HUU!!

Another piece of TRASH from BMW.

BMW is now the GMC of Germany. They should quit building sedans.

BMW's are just TIN CAN's anyway, for people too poor to buy an Audi or Benz.
