BMW releases official X1 trailer
The next couple of years will be very busy for BMW as it launches a handful of new models including new versions of current top sellers and some models we’ve never seen before. One of these brand new models will be a compact SUV called the X1.

While we have already seen prototypes for the X1 testing at the Nurburgring, BMW has finally confirmed the model with the release of an official trailer for a concept version of the car.

My issue isn't that BMW is making another X model. The issue is size-value.

You'll be spending 80-90% of an X3 on an X1, and is it worth it? Especially if you go into the slightly used market. You have to be a real small-car fan to pay the premium on this.

Hey crackity, how did it drive? What is it like inside? Oh....what's that? You haven't seen or driven it because it hasn't been released yet. Yet you have opinions about the value of it! WTF!! Well, we will all be sure to take you seriously. And, auto001 has diarrhea of the keyboard as usual, what a waste of pixels.

Smaller vehicles are making a comeback in case you missed it and BMW is perfectly positioned to launch a new one this season. Well Done BMW.

I think they are attracting more of a female base of customers with the 1 series, 3 series, X3, X5 and now the X1. I think thats a brilliant idea. but as for males they will be in the 5,7,X6. I think they're main competitor with these X models is going to be Land Rover. I wouldnt be suprised if the decided to make a 2 door (or 3 door) version of the X models being that Land Rover might come out with their 2 door Range Rover Sport

SAV, you mean SAV, mein freund. Just kidding, I guess BMW is starting to become Toyota like in the sense that "you can never have too many SUVs, er, SAVs, in your line up." 2 SUVs are more than enough but the folks over at MB now have 3, so I guess they need 1 more to at least catch up with the Daimlers of the world.

Hey wait a minute... I am wrong... if I am to count BMWs SAVs, they have 3 already, they are going for the 4th? Wow, I guess now they are even with Daimler.

Another pointless car by BMW, first there was the X6 now the X1.. another sign of insecurity by BMW.. evry Tom dick and harry Boy racer will be after these mass production cars posing as premium brand.. what's the point of owning a BMW now ?

I think they either need to pick this or the x3. My vote would be for this. Get rid of the x3.

When is the XZ roadster coming out.

They haven't tapped the market for people who want a 2-seat convertible awd SAV.

If the X1 rides similar to the X3 then I'm not interested. The X3 would cause kidney damage from the jolts to the body with it's rock hard suspension. To make the car handle well the springs and sway bars offer almost no roll. Why doesn't BMW just stick to sport sedans?

It's more of a Nissan Quashqai competitor, somewhere in that segment, I like the rims and its shape. Let's hope it looks even better overall.
