BMW's 3 Series Shooting Brake Aims Directly At Audi
German magazine Autobild is reporting that BMW may be working on a shooting brake version of its best-selling 3-series range. They’re claiming BMW will release such a model in 2008 and that it will be based on the 3-series coupe. Interestingly, their chop shows a new face for the 3-series, but we doubt the styling on the coupe will be changed after only two years. This rendering was shown on the cover of their latest issue, and we expect more details to be released soon.

I like it. And it does look similar to the Audi shooting brake design. I hope BMW refines it more too the likes of the 335i coupe.

Looks great, but isn't this the next genertion 1 series that we're supposed to be getting in the states?

Are we going to get an additional hatch between the 1 and 3 series? Hmmm..

Both BMW and Audi make millions, no billions, of dollars a year.

OBSERVER1984 what have you been observing? MB loses money hand over fist, while BMW is just behind Toyota as the most profitable car company on the planet. Check you facts please.

Also this is a bad photoshop with 5 series headlights.

Wow, this is the first truly goodlooking BMW I have seen. Well, this, the 6 and e92. This is much nicer though. How ugly is the 1 series hatch?
