With the current slump in local sales, there are many auto manufacturers who are taking expanding overseas. In order to make sure that they meet the export demands, they need to make sure that a working facility is constantly churning out vehicles. BMW along with a number of other brands have come to this very conclusion. Keeping this in mind, BMW is looking to erect its very first plant in Brazil, at an estimated cost of $395 million.

BMW boasts of a very good customer base in Brazil, though in the past year sales weren't so high. Based on market statistics the brand is hopeful that demand for cars will increase with the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.
