Baby CL? More next-gen Mercedes CLK Spy Photos caught
Here are more shots of the next-gen Mercedes CLK caught in testing.

Sources tell the Spies that the next CLK will be a dead ringer of the CL-Series...only smaller and with a new interior layout/design.

I like how they try and hide it with a bunch of other M-B's

I hope so! The CL is gorgeous. It appears to have a C-Class-esque front end (still), but a baby-CL body.

I, personally, thought that the dual-oval headlamp theme worked very well for Mercedes, and gave their vehicles a distinct visual identity, unlike the rather generic looking assemblies they used on the current S-Class, which look like they could have come from any number of auto makers.

This, even in disguise, does seem to be shaping into a nice side profile though...

Can't wait for interior shots. Thats the biggest issue with the current car. I really hope they continue to use ragtops for the convertibles.

The interior really isnt all that bad. There is a ton of leather everywhere, the wood goes nicely, and it has a distinct look. I thought about a C-350 sport and I found THAT interior to be terrible, unworthy of trading for it. I do like the new layout of the CL and hope they go more in that direction than the low end of the c-class

The interior isn't bad at all. I just don't like all the curves and what not inside my car. Especially the handle over the glovebox, the way the air vents are shaped and the center console arm rest. Those are just subjective things but the dash in my 02 CLK 320 was cleaner and sportier to me. I'd like for the interior to at least return to a similar style or move a bit more upmarket. But otherwise you're right the car has leather everywhere and very nice wood. The materials are first rate IMO.

I love Benz that's why I drive an SL, but don't make the CLK a baby CL, the CLK would be better is a stand alone design like the CLS.

But if your gonna copy a Benz let it be the mighty CL.

I currently have a CLK350 and IM pretty happy. My lease is over next year in June so I cant wait to trade up!

I hope its reminiscent of the CL, my favorite large coupe design ever. Without a doubt this design will bet the BMW 3 coupe in beauty, refinement, and sophistication returning its place once again to the top of the segment and rejustifying its existence. CANT WAIT FOR YOU! :)
