Businessman Afzal Kahn, boss of Kahn Design and Project Kahn tuning house, cashed out a winning bid of £440,625 (that’s $870,000) for the right to own the UK ‘F1' license plate. The 37-year old beat the previous record held by ‘M1' that sold for £331,000 in July 2006.
Kahn threw the $870k license plate on his Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR, which cost £200,000 less than the license plate.
