Crap! They raised the price of the Azura by $1000. That puts it out of reach for me.

I went to dinner tonight at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants called El Toritos and in the parking lot the local Porsche ~ Audi ~ Bentley Dealership had a display of a brand new Bentley Continental GT in Glacier, The Azure in Silver Tempest, The Audi Q7 in Cobalt Blue Metallic and the entire SUV was painted and there was a Porsche 911 Turbo in Meteor Gray Metallic.

I had a good dinner :)

How do you think people who CAN afford it got there? The answer is that they managed their financial affairs properly and always checked the price as well as terms and conditions before signing on the dotted line.

BTW, I consider the Brooklands Coupe a work of art but the new 2008 Continental Speed is a work of art also at a cost of $150K less. I'm not buying either car but I wonder which one I would choose. Bill Gates should buy one of each to drive on alternate days and give away the first one he gets fed up with.

So Miss Hilton got her 2-3 Bentlys by saving her pennies and shopping around for the cheapest deal?

The new CGT Speed looks fantastic. A welcome addition to the Continental line, which is about to receive a refresh.

Funny then that your average Bentley is more expensive then the average Ferrari and Lambo.

Oh yeah by the way, a Lambo must be a rebadged Jetta too.

Did you say BMW "discarded" Bentley? That is just laughable.

In fact, BMW had owned the rights to the Rolls-Royce name, but did not own the company when VW came along to buy Bentley/Rolls-Royce as a bundle. It was, actually, the complete opposite of what you said- VW didn't buy R-R from BMW, and was content with only Bentley. What a fabulous investment it has turned into. While BMW is struggling to sell 1,000 Rollers a year and loses money on every Phantom they sell, VW's Bentley profits are at a record-high and they keep having to rearrange and design new factories to produce models with waiting lists that never die down.

amazinBimmer, you obviously don't know the sales game. Bentley sales are rocketing so high that Rolls-Royce was forced to create a cheaper car to compete. Rolls will be making a Flying-Spur competitor it is confirmed.

Bentley has been one of the most prestigious marques in all of automotive history.

They built absolutely regal tanks pre-VW ownership. The Rolls was the car to be chauffered in. The Bentley was the car to drive yourself and to make a statement that you have wealth and you don't mind putting yourself behin the wheel of your more than quarter million dollar car.

I'm sorry, but to say that a Bentley from pre-Volkswagen times was a POS is absolutely unheard of.
