Best Photo Yet Of The Porsche Panamera Interior
AutoCar has some great shots of the upcoming Porsche Panamera....

This Panamera’s well-appointed tan leather cabin is clearly visible in our photographs. It’s dominated by a wide and high-set centre console, which should deliver a wrap-around, cosseting sensation that befits a continent-bashing GT.

The gear level looks as if it could be a manual, but it’s really a Speedtronic DSG unit with subtle gear selectors on the front of the steering wheel. Porsche seems to be persisting with the controversial back-to-front button shifters, as seen on the latest PDK 911, rather than more traditional paddles.

Thanks to TauronB for the tipoff!

Will someone please tell me that internet photos don't do this car justice, because I still think it's so fugly.

Why the heck have we been seeing spy pictures of this car for at least 4 years and it still has not come out????

It's like knowing what your going to get for Christmas months ahead of time because your parents didn't hide the presents well enough and you get to see the box but not play with it while they are gone.

This Porsche seemed exciting a while ago but now there is nothing to really look forward to. We all know what it will look like.

Its very similar to the Camaro except for the fact that the Camaro is much better looking and it will still sell very well despite its overly long developement.

Oh my goodness, I may have to buy the Panamera.

Wouldn't that impress my real estate clients?

It looks like they took the LS460 interior and placed it horizontally into this car.

I desperately want to like this but just can't get in any way excited. I don't see who they are trying to sell this to either. If you need a 'sensible' family vehicle and want the Porsche badge just get the Cayenne GTS or Turbo. I just can't see S Class Merc or Lexus 600 drivers switching to this.

Impressive, especially for a Porsche since most of them have bland interiors which never complements their beautiful exteriors. Love to see that big LCD screen in action. Finally auto makers realize they need to place the LCD's higer up.

Seriously...

The shifter, from this angle, looks like one side of a rather 'large' woman's gluteus maximus.

Why the puke yellow, don't cheap plastics in the sun turn into that color anyways?

I guess the ugly design theme continues on the inside as well.

If Porsche can tweak the exterior and not make you pay $100,0000 for a 6 cylinder they could have another hit. From those shots the interior looks pretty good.

Did anyone ever find out if those figures were wrong about the $135,000 base price? People, that is not a 6 figure interior.

Hideous colours, and button layout is messy at best, can't they use Audi's MMI

I actually like the interior: the buttons make it easy to access functions quickly and safely.

As for criticizing the maker for taking 4 years to bring it to market, I think Porsche should be congratulated instead. This kind of thorough testing should be standard practice for modern cars and I would expect to see Porsche enjoy an amazing rating on the JD Power surveys with this car.
