Biofuel and diesel mills debut in new Cadillac BLS wagon
The Cadillac BLS wagon is due to make its world premiere at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show with a range of new engines on offer including a bio-ethanol option and a two-stage turbodiesel. The new wagon will officially go on sale in November with the bio-fueled model appearing in showrooms early next year.

The FWD BLS wagon is offered with the same range of power units as the BLS sedan, giving the choice of a turbodiesel and three turbocharged petrol engines. In addition, a powerful 1.9L four-cylinder two stage turbodiesel engine with common-rail direct-injection delivers 180hp (132 kW) and 400Nm of torque is also available.

The range of gasoline engines includes two 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged units developing 175hp 129 kW and 210hp (154kW). A 2.8L V6 developing 255hp (188kW) also is available, featuring a twin-scroll turbocharger and variable phasing of the intake camshafts.

Its strange this article is mentioning 129 kW which equals to 180hp..kW? More acceptable of measuring power to the wheels if it was hybrid but...

Anyhow, 1st station wagon for the Cadillac in 104 years! So what?

This is indeed another sad day for a Cady. Just keep on missing targets after targets. btw, how's SRX sales doing? Why not re-design SRX and just stick this new engine in it. I mean..SRX looks heck of alot better than this outdated Empty computer box looking sasquatch.

Biofuel and diesel, hoopla! Yeah whatever.

Kw is common in some European countries, and of course is less disputed than horsepower (which is measured in about 4 different ways).
And 180 hp is little to few in a car like the SRX (although the Land Rover Disco has the same power in 2.7 diesel version).
I would stick a 3.0 litre diesel in it of about 200-250 hp, 1.9 is just too small for a large SUV.
