Changing those headlights is one of the wisest decisions BMW has made recently.

I think more than headlights taillights should be changed.

BTW i don't think Sedan will have Coupe's headlights and taillights but an All New Ones.

Could this be a direct RS4 competitor, I think so. You mean to tell me BMW is not threatened by Audi?

BY the time M3 sedan will reach market RS4 will be already over (See the post Audi RS4 Production over).

M3 Sedan will be more of an IS-F and C63 AMG competitor.

Too bad for BMW. They lost the last 2 years in the M3 against Audi RS4 for showing up so late with the M3. The RS4 is way much better than the current M3, and it's a shame it took BMW 2 years to catch up. Almost, not there it. I am sure that later on, after the M3 release, BMW will be on top again in this specific race, but they lost it for a few good years. And probably Audi will jump back in about 2 years with another RS4. Never ending story. My point is: BMW lost it's crown for a good 2 years to Audi. I am talking in their entry level sedans, not talking about the M5.

Audi is just changing over from the B7 to the B8 chassis. The new RS4 will be out in a year or so.

Meanwhile, be happy with the flood of new cars that Audi is releasing now.

I doubt it, moto. I'm a huge Audi fan, but if I could change one thing in the way they operate, it would be how long it takes for them to come out with high-performance models. This seems to be taking a step in the right direction with the early release of the S5 coupe, but it seems as if an RS5/RS4 still won't be appearing for many years. Take a look at the RS6, even. I keep hearing "maybe next year." It's been "next year" for two years now. They need to step it up! BMW got the M5 out after a year of production, and they're doing that with the M3!

i had a feeling the e93 m3 sedan would look better than the m3 coupe and it does although the regular 3-series coupe looks much better than the sedan.

the m3 sedan looks so much more muscular than the coupe which has lost its muscular look compared to the e42 m3 imo. the e92 fenders are wide like the e42 but they are no longer distinctive. the e92 needs to fluff up its design with vents and decorative bumpers which simply look added on.

e92 sedan is a winner. too bad it seems it will not include the cf hood which it should.

The E93 would be the current 3 Series convertible.

3 Series nomenclature:

E90: sedan

E91: wagon

E92: coupe

E93: convertible

Also, the E42 would be the previous-generation 7 Series sedan. E46 was the old 3 Series.

I would stick to regular "last-gen 3 Series" and "new 3 Series" if I were you, lol.

I am very excited for the new M3, in any form. I had no idea they were swapping out the headlights, but it looks GREAT. Huge improvement! 3 Series will remain the ruler of this class, obviously... BMW never stops with the improvements.

sure. guess ill stick to driving the m5 that i own. could careless about the numerical value bmw decides to classify its entire 3-series line.
