Bugatti to build large sedan with Bentley
Bugatti is one of the most prestigious badges in the automotive industry. If one doesn’t have at least $3 million to throw around, then one shouldn’t even think of entering a Bugatti showroom. The first unit of the brands latest creation, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, sold for $3.19 million - exceeding the roadster’s sticker price of $2.05 million.

Only 150 units of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport will be produced, 50 of which has already been sold to existing Bugatti customers who apparently have another $3 million to throw around. So what’s next for the exclusive luxury brand that caters to a very elite demographic?

I'd love to drive one of these beauties just once. However, unless one lives in some of the sparsely-populated western states like Wyoming or Montana, and you avoid the police, you would never be able to get a Veyron up to top speed on a highway in the U.S. And these cars are just too nice to be used only on a race track.

Possibly for a single opportunity to drive such a car you might consider flying to Germany?

Excellent design strategy I think. Bentley should be working on replacing the current Arnage model. So further development for a Bugatti sedan would help push the plush/luxury factor for the Arnage further upwards.

Now that the Estoque is in the open, the next Bentley Flying Spur should benefit from Lambo's research & development.

So the Bugatti will be an upmarket Bentley?! Well... You have to say, they know how to time such an announcement just right! The world is hitting the bottom of the worst financial crisis since the great depression and then along comes VAG "Hey... We're launching an even more expensive Bentley!"

I'm sorry... As an car fan I love this, yet another car for us to drool all over. But as a normal person, I have to laugh a little at this!

Anyway, can't wait to see what this baby will look like and (more importantly) how it will perform... Bentley sort of got something to live up to!
