Buick Invicta concept
After a long striptease, General Motors has finally unveiled the first renderings and details surrounding its Buick Invicta concept -- a vision of Buick's future and another in-the-sheetmetal manifestation of the growing international synergy between GM's Buick teams in Shanghai, China, and Warren, Michigan.

Invicta -- the star of GM's stand at the 2008 AutoChina show in Beijing -- is also widely believed to be what the 2010 Buick LaCrosse that's been spied testing will become when it makes its appearance on Buick showroom floors in both China and the U.S. The LaCrosse is a nameplate sold both here and in China, but the cars are substantially different. That will change with the next LaCrosse, which will be underpinned by GM's global Epsilon II architecture. The Epsilon II is front-drive based but all-wheel drive capable. Powering the Invicta concept is a version of GM's 2.0-liter, direct-injection turbo four cylinder with an estimated 250 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. that is a sexy Buick. Maybe Tiger will drive one of those one day and make a Buick look cool. I hope it's as luxurious as the Buick Enclave. The comfort is almost as good as its cousin Cadillac. One thing is for sure. Buick is better than Ford's crap luxury brand Lincoln.

Buick ststed that they are on the path to compete with lexus if what ive seen in the past few concepts like this and the rivera are built i would say that lexus has their hands full.

why would this or any Buick compete directly with Lexus? Why not Infiniti, Volvo, Saab, or Acura?

Oh wait, because it's much cooler to trash the US lux leader! Your story got old a while ago, feel free to leave now.

let's not get carried away. the Enclave is very nice, but the Lucerne (Buicks 'flagship' sedan) still sports a pushrod v6, 4 speed transmission, and igloo cooler-grade plastic on it's dash.

Actuly that is only the bade engine, there is an availble motor from directly from Cadillac that makes this car scream, and the interor is realy nice, based on your opinion you never driven one just read a lot of magazines.

The last time I look at this concept, it look like it took design cue from both Infiniti and Lexus. Front Infiniti G35/37, and side and 3/4 view the Lexus IS 250/350.

i can promise you if you put the front of a G35 with the rest of the body being an IS it wouldnt look anywhere near like this..........
