Buick shows second teaser of Invicta sedan
Buick has released a second teaser for its upcoming Invicta sedan concept that’s set to appear at this month’s Beijing Auto Show. The new image doesn’t reveal any significant details except for the shape of the headlights, which appear to have a tapered back look.

The new concept was jointly developed by design studios both in China and the U.S. and is said to represent the future look of the Buick brand.

My god.

GM has been on a marketing (frenzy, blitz, assult, etc.) for this past year.

The malibu, the G8, the CTS, and now this new Invicta. IF the media and hype keep living up to each vehicle I can't wait to see what this Invicta looks like.

GM is some real competition they are building such a new bread of Automobiles, all exciting, inovative, great performance, fast and great handling I have the new CTS all I can say is WHAT A GREAT CAR! all the time people comment on it and what a great looking car, and oh by the way even the Lexus owners have said to me they are thinking of trading their Lexus for a Cadillac next time.

GM is doing a great job!

Lets not be hypocritical here. Lexus wasnt particularly known for sportiness and look at them now, they are at least "sporty looking".

Buick will do fine, they have a history of sporty vehicles believe it or not.

lexusrox123 What are you talking about Buick sporty oxy moron what lexus is sporty that is a real oxy moran. Buick in the past has had some real sport cars.

And oxy-moron Lexus what about this

Lexus LS fails Auto Motor und Sport braking test - AGAIN

How does that make you feel OXY-MORON, keep driving the Lexus since is rank so high in sports cars and performance just dont drive to fast you may not brake in time.

Sure it is. Why dont you read up a little on the history of the marque.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick

Notice one of their first cars was a race car.

Buick does have some solid history with performance cars, but few prospective buyers either know or care about it.

Besides, GM has a dismal record of bringing cool concept cars to production. This will either never see the light of day or it will be watered down beyond recognition.

sold2early,

I think you need to read a little more before you comment.
Case in point: SSR, Solstice vert and coupe, Camaro (though it isn't out the preproduction ones are following the concept quite closely).

What does Lexus stand for? I do not know! Buick has been around since early 1900's Lexus has'nt even been around 20 years.

Look back at all the Cars Buick has made then see what they stand for.

Also go look a pictures of the Toyota Camry's in the past and presant, then look at the Buicks past and presant, Buick has always had more styling than Toyota's and Lexus's!

Nice. Too bad that the only element that will make it to production is the waterfall grill.

Friggin nice ride. Def see some influences in there from Nissan but GM needs to continue to revamp it Divisions to stay competitive. Also to entice buyers below the age of 90 :)

GM has definitely stepped up to the plate in terms of design. I love practically every new design from them, even the Pontiac G8, and I have never really liked any Pontiac before, ever.

Love the speedo, just as unique as the IS300's chrono-gauge. Is the computer power button the ignition button, or do you think its for the radio?

Yes they do The 2008 CTS Cadillac can not make them fast enough, as the Dealers get them in stock and they are sold.

Now is there a toyota out there that you or anyone can get excited about? The Camry wow that is exciting the how about the Lexus seris LS, gs, es, or is, models wow they are excitng autos they really knock your socks off they are so exciting Not they all look the same and as for the rx suv all that is, is a Rav-4 with a 20,000 more price tag on it, the Buick Enclave is a much more exciting, has much more design and style to it, and more performance.

How about the Cadillac CTS it was named Motor Trend car of the year and Car and Driver car of the year. Not one Toyota or Lexus was even in the running. WOW now that exciting.

You may want to rethink what is exciting and who is excited GM is now a force with the exciting cars they are currently building and in the future line up of cars.

Buick... we'll see when this car is unveiled... However...

Try this...

Close your eyes, concentrate... Now think:

Buick... Buick... Buick...

I see senior citizen in huge black sun-glasses, driving 45 mph in left lane on a highway, or 20 mph on 35 mph local roads.

Can Buick change this? We'll see...

We all know the fact that Buick is as reliable as any Lexus and they also look a lot better than any Lexus.

In fact, the typicial Lexus looks like a whale.

also, buick isnt as reliable as lexus: the (ugly) Buick Terraza is very unreliable. And all Lexi have above average reliability. source: consumer reports

I wouldnt say it looked "ugly" already because I dont really see a thing but a shadow and headlamp design. Judging by the headlamp signature alone though, this vehicle looks dated. Where is a "LED light signature"? Buick is somewhat luxury right? This is the "future" of Buick design?

I'm intrigued, reminds me of my 1972 Riviera from the side view. Loved that car, 455cid... that's a 7.4L engine kids... and quick to go! Surprised many a Vette, Camaro and Firebird driver back in the day. I was 20yo then, and now wish I'd kept it. Buick... Yes! Sporty... Yes! Fast... Yes! Me an old codger at 20... No!

GM is on the mend, bringing it's vast resources of talent to work, finally actually producing the greatness they used to produce routinely.

With rationalized labor costs, and the use of its' international pool of resources, they just might be making cars that people actually want, instead of re-hashed "almost" good enough products.

The CTS coupe is amazing. I love the Camaro.......It's good to see American cars you can actually want, instead of rent at the airport.

lexusrox123 you know why your Grandparents drive the Buick it has been around since the early 1900's Lexus has only been around since the late 80's early 90's.

And yes Buick has been ranked has high as the Lexus infact in JD Power and Assocaites which is a much more relieble sorce then consumer reports. Just for your information consumer reports only surveys about a 100 people on a product. Consumer reports is not accurate at all.

And are you that small that you cannot give credit when credit is due? when others talk about lexus and they do not even like the lexus they still give lexus credit for what they have accomplished. You on the other hand can not even give credit on what other auto makers are accomplising, are so small you cannot even give credit when credit is due.

Keep driving your boring and bad braked Lexus!
