Yesterday, our own 00R spied the 2020 BMW X7 on the streets of New Jersey. So when I read his article, I couldn't help but think that the design didn't have the same presence as at the LA Auto Show. And even more to the point, I said to myself "Dang, the KIA Telluride has a better looking exterior design."Now I'll be the first to tell you that I don't know it all but my instincts about cars are usually pretty solid. So I wanted to throw this out to all you Spies. Which ride has the BETTER EXTERIOR design to YOUR eye.The BMW X7 or Kia Telluride?Spies, discuss...SPIED on the STREET! All-new BMW X7 Spotted!A snippet from 00R's X7 article..."From a size perspective, it is really in line with the current-gen Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. Definitely sizable but not crazy like the all-new extended Ford Expedition or Lincoln Navigator. Equipped with the M Sport package, it's got a good look without being over the top. Color me impressed and I haven't been an X7 fan until today.Given the 2020 7-Series looks clown-ish, there's no question in my mind that the X7 is going to be mobbed when it hits showroom floors. "

The Telleride exterior proportions are awesome, esp for that trim in the pics above. Since the XT6 was introduced, the X7 just seems...basic...ho-hum, kinda like the 7-er seems now.— dumpsty (View Profile)

The real question is does the X7 look 2-3 times better than the Kia because that’s what you’ll pay...or in 2-3 years get a pre owned X7 for around the same price as the Kia problem solved— Car4life1 (View Profile)

The best way to put it. The Kia looks probably better than anything else in its class but that’s not saying much really. It still looks non-premium to me.The BMW doesn’t measure up to Range Rovers or the GLS or others in the large premium class (this excludes the frumpy Q7 which is more midsize and the Escalade/Navigator which are jumbo). It does look premium probably because of its X5 lineage. They’re both pretty underwhelming. Though I’d give the nod to the X7 but only barely.— cidflekken (View Profile)

Kia by far but they will not be cross shopped, so what's the purpose?— MDarringer (View Profile)

LMAO,really. Kia is ok if you can't afford better but stop comparing it to cars that will never be crossed shopped with it.— countguy (View Profile)

I can afford to buy either one, but honestly the new BMW face on the X7 and 7 series are just butt ugly. I would buy the Kia Telluride or Hyundai Pallisade any day of the week over the BMW. No reason to throw money away on ugly.— Section_31_JTK (View Profile)

While the X7 is going to be a *far* better driving machine, I agree that the overall exterior of the Kia looks nicer than the BMW, at least in the angles we see the beamer here. Personally, I think the Volvo XC90 looks more upscale than either of them, but the Telluride does have a great, classic "rugged" design.— Kirkaiya (View Profile)

Ouch on both, agree with comments putting Range Rovers and Volvos way in front of these style wise.— valhallakey (View Profile)

Thought Land Rovers are nicer, the Range Rover design is slowly becoming old. And since all the models in the Range Rover lines look similar, it kinda sets the brand behind in the segment.— dumpsty (View Profile)

not discounting many of the ill-informed comments about these recent designs. but isn't the Telluride meant to steal market share from the Tahoe, Expedition, Explorer, Enclave, Traverse, etc? it should look & feel very different from the X7.I do have high expectations for the Genesis SUV similarly. It should be designed to take consumers from the XT6, Aviator, X7, GLS/GLE, Navigator, QX80, etc.— dumpsty (View Profile)
