While we've been pointing out that Mercedes-Benz has been on a tear for quite a while now, it's only getting stronger. The 2016 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) brought the likes of the all-new E-Class out. And now the 2016 Geneva Motor Show (GIMS) debuted the all-new C-Class Convertible and C43.

What can this company do wrong, seriously?

While it seemed peculiar that there were missing engines for the all-new E-Class' debut, it turns out there's good reason for this. That's because the three-pointed star is going to support its entry-level four-cylinder offering with an E43 AMG.

At this point we can only assume it will feature the same mill found in the C43 good for just over 360 horsepower though we think it wouldn't be unreasonable that the E's engine could use a slight bump to account for its greater heft.

And even BIGGER news is confirmation that the all-new GLC-Class sport-utility vehicle — that Agent 001 LOVED — will also have a GLC43 variant. With low gas prices and the SUV category stronger than ever, we can only imagine that the GLC43 will soon be flying out of dealer lots.

According to AMG's boss, we'll be seeing more of these two models in approximately two months' time.



Boss of Mercedes-AMG, Tobias Moers, has confirmed that a new E43 AMG performance model will join the range.

Speaking to Auto Express at the
2016 Geneva Motor Show he revealed, “we’ll see an E43 in the near future, but first we have to fulfil our promises,” adding that a GLC 43 will also join the line-up.

“These cars are close, we’ll see them in something like two months’ time,” Moers outlined...
