With platform sharing becoming the mainstay of the automotive industry, it only becomes fitting that they too be ranked just as vehicle sales are ranked. So here are the top 10 shared plaforms based on total vehicle sales for the first half of 2007. Is seems some share more platforms than you might think.

1. 406,759 units: Lexus RX 330; Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid, Camry Solara, Sienna
2. 258,267 units: Buick LaCrosse/Allure; Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo; Pontiac Grand Prix

The list is titled North American car production, not sales. Perhaps those missing entries are due to vehicles mfrd outside N.A. That would make sense for the Highlander and ES are not on the list. But I thought the Oddysey was made here, guess not.
