Can you guess the average age of G37 and 3-series coupe buyers? Bet you can't.
All the buzz, all the ads and marketing paint an image of a handsome/pretty 30 year old, successful executive/entreprenuer who eats sushi, watches reality shows on MTV/VH1 and drinks Red Bull, as the customer of the Infiniti G37 or the BMW 3-Series coupes.
But is that reality?
Unfortunately, no.
Check out this slide from Infiniti that shows the average age of theirs and their competitors customers.
Based on the real data, replace the sushi with steak, MTV/VH1 with Fox news and the Red Bull with Viagra for a more accurate picture. ;)

why on earth is the TT in there ?!
Would the A4 be a better match in that class.
What a bunch of turds.
I think jeep ran a commercial once comparing its cherroke to an audi TT. and doing offroad test and saying it was better.
that is soo dumb.
Why dont company compare cars that are in their class?

Red bull and reality tv shows? Sorry 001, by the demographic for that garbage is white trash.
If you're successful enough to afford one of these cars why would you need to entertain yourself with that trash?
Anyway...notice Audi/MBZ is more females, no suprise there, and more Audi drivers are married...somehow that doesnt suprise me either.

LOL- The G37 is not an expensive car by any stretch...
Are you are exalting yourself to another demographic since you like the car?
The G35 is targeted to the yuppie. the same person that watches "Survivor", "Big Brother", "The Bachelor" , and the "Amazing Race".
While the 37 target may be a cut above the chevy mailbu crowd in education and income they are far from white trash.

I think autospies is a little too obsessed with the G37 and 335i comparisons. YOU GUYS need to post up something better than this crap already. a 335i will always be more desired than a G37, reason being? because a G37 is nothing but a nissan with leather seats. END OF STORY. Post something more exciting, like a Ferrari F430 Vs a TURBO. or something WAY better than this crap.

In Miami, a 21 year old with a new 3 series, C class, G35, or IS is not a big deal. But then again thats only down here, where the car culture is big.

Exactly. Its one of those places where youre either Rich or Broke the "in between" margin is getting smaller every year. People are suffering from ridiculous property taxes and increases of more than 100% in Hazard insurance due to the recent hurricanes past. Plus with the average just barely decent home being over 400 thousand.

Thanks for asking w209. Im amazed by my 335i. The confidence it has on the road is supercar-like. Doesnt matter what road Im on, how fast Im going, the car just does exactly what I want from it, all the time. I have a huge grin on my face everytime Im behind the wheel. The performance of the turbo six is incredible !!! My last 330i was a great car, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy the 335i, its in a whole different league of performance.

I have the current CLK now (want something more sporty) but Im really torn between the 335 Coupe and the new C350 sport. I love the clean new styling of the coupe. But I just saw the new C class teaser model (it doesnt go on sale here in Miami until August 7th) at the dealership last weekend and loved it. Its a car you really have to see in person to appreciate. I'll be test driving both by the end of the year. Thanks for your feedback

To the average unaware consumer, sure, anything in the 3 series line up is fitting. But to the enthusiast, driving down the boulevard in anything less than a 330, makes you look like a poseur. Whenever I see someone driving a 325 or 328, I question why the heck they chose a BMW over a multitude of other cars.

Maybe in the US, I'm in Europe though and its rare to see a 330. Most of the BMW's, Audi's and Merc's have 2.0 litre engines. I think the main reason it sells so well is because there is so much choice. I wouldn't call someone a poser for driver a lower powered BMW, maybe BMW's have always appealed to that person and they've always aspired to owning one. Surely the mark of a true enthusiast is that you buy with your heart because there's an emotional appeal towards the car, not just buying based on a few stats on a sheet of paper.

Self earning enough money to buy an M6 and 335i is, dare I say, impossible at the age of 21.
