Chinese Toyota RAV4 & BMW X5 Clones Coming To Frankfurt
Munich-based China Automobile Deutschland will present two SUV's at the Frankfurt Show in September:
the Shuanghuan CEO (or SCEO) borrows several styling elements from the BMW X5 and Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs and the Zhejiang Jonway UFO RV which reminds us of the previous generation Toyota RAV4, we’re not exactly sure why, but it does… Oh, don’t you lust to be a fly in the air when Toyota execs take a look at the UFO in Frankfurt?

I dont know about cars, but when I was in China earlier this year this old lady came to me and showed me some fake watches (famous names too, like rolex, prado) and they were ALMOST identical. I did not buy any but after like a minute the police appeared everywhere and they stopped me to ask me if I bought anything from the lady. Then later on I heard they caught her. It is because of copyrights as I was told.

Good. The BMW X5 needs some help in the styling department anyway and if anyone can help, it's the Chinese.

If the Chinese just copy exactly what other brand look like I think they should be allowed to sell their car in the U.S. or Europe. This is very disrespectul and it is not following the copy right rule.

Their cars are probably going to worse than Kia and Hyundai when both of this brands first came out.

After all those contaminated food episodes, we should take those cars apart down to every last nut and bolt and expose any weaknesses they may have. I'm sure the manufacturer will not fully disclose any weaknesses voluntarily. I'm not ready to take a chance on a Chinese car yet.
