Chinese built VWs to be sold in US
Volkswagen’s joint-venture with China’s Shanghai Auto will spawn a new car that will eventually go on sale in North America. The new model will mark the first time that VW’s Chinese partner will help develop a vehicle targeted at a global market, Reuters Reports. Read Article

If they build a VW with the same quality like they make dog food,catfood,toothpaste etc, then VW is in BIG TROUBLE!

actually, you cant really tell the quality difference from Chinese bmw and audis to the German ones. it is just some local Chinese automakers cant produce good quality cars.

In China labor is usually cheaper, so this will mean VW cars will be cheaper to buy, which is good for consumers.

I'm guessing this is the plan the Volkswagon Group may be taking to overtake Toyota, which usually sets up factories in where it is selling the cars and uses local labor there, e.g. the Toyota Tundra, Toyota Sienna, and Toyota Camry is made in America and sold in America.

In Australia, the Toyota Camry and Toyota Aurion is made in Australia in Melbourne and sold there as well.
