Chinese version of next generation Aveo

We love seeing spy shots of cars we've never heard of, which is why we were interested in scoping out this Chinese-market Chevy Lova.

As you can see for yourself, though, it didn't take much sleuthing to identify the lines as those of the Chevy Aveo, but not exactly the one we're familiar with.

China & Europe have the best domestic designs (ie: Ford Mondeo, Various Buick's & Cadillac's etc).

Buddy Jordanski - Firstly, this is the Chinese Version of Chevrolet Aveo which is from Chevrolet, an American Company & not a Chinese Car from a Chinese Company without any semblance of quality control.

Chinese products are improving, its the same story as the with Korean products.
Back in the day, Hyundai was the butt of all jokes with cheap copy-cat cars, but look at Hyundai now - coming out with 100K sedans, winning car of the year awards etc.

The Cruze is a midsize car 1UAW, the Aveo a subcompact.

i realize that but the cruze is not much bigger, and the aveo is trash i wouldnt let my dog drive it. Yes i love american cars but i know which cars are good and which are bad foreign or domestic.

The Cruze is a compact, the Aveo is a subcompact, the Malibu would be Chevrolet's midsize car.

Not that I approve anybody of buying a 100K Hyundai.
We all know what happened to the Phaeton and that was still German.
I still think the 100K Hyundai will cost 60K-70K in the US, the same way M3 cost over 100K in other parts of this world but way cheaper in the New World.

TECHGEEK....don't forget the ultimate flop that was the BMW 8 Series(still love the design though). I'm sure Hyundai is well aware they're in no position to pitch a US$100k vehicle to any country.

Iam doing a study for my job in the Public sector, with car reliablity over a 20 year period from 1990 to today. My basis for results is only based on Recalls from the US government (National Traffic Highway Safety Administration). The Hyundai Excels and Accents over a 20 year period were not just only the most reliable subcompacts sold in America, but they were more reliable than the small Honda Civics that came before the Honda Fit. The small Honda Civic Scored in my study a 65 Percentile (2001 Civics are Rubbish by the way=total 8 Recalls), while the Accent/Excel Score an Average of 90 Percentile; the best in that Subcompact sector.

I will Move to the C-segment next, where the Ford Focus is such a shit car, that it is worse than the Yugo and First Hyundai Excel put together, trust me. By the way guys, the Chevy Aveo suprisingly had a very good reliablity score.

Then again, all of these South Korean sourced Compacts and Subcompacts like the Accent Aveo and Elantra have been doing better than their German and Japanese counterparts lately.

100 Means no Recalls 0 means 10 recalls. The Focus in 2001 had 13 recals= -30 in my study

I used to be a total Aveo hater, but after my study, I have faith in the little things. Chevy actually seems as if they did a good job outsourcing these Daewoos.
