Chrysler Puts Puts Unsold '06 Vehicles In Used Lots

In a last-ditch effort to unload 2006 cars and trucks, Chrysler allowed its dealers to designate the new vehicles as "loaners" for as little as one day before selling them as used for steep discounts.



The unusual sales tactic came at the end of May as the Auburn Hills-based division of DaimlerChrysler AG was trying to finish the month on a strong note.

Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers can use new vehicles as loaners for test-drives or for customers who need a car while theirs is in service.

I'll take a hyundai over any dodge/chrysler minus the charger and magnum srt8.(being in a cloth charger or magnum is not exciting, plus renting their cars are gay)

About 10-15K discount. It comes with a smores kit to melt the marshmallows to melt on the door sill. For that price get a Z06!!

The dealer where I live will give up a fully loaded '07 SRT Jeep, Charger, or 300 for about $40k. The only problem is as soon as one hits the lot, 1,000 people are called and they all race to get there first to buy the dang thing.

Outside of the Magnum, Charger and 300(top trim levels), this still isn't a great investment. Those cars are being given this treatment for a reason. Nobody wanted them a year ago, nobody wants them now.
