I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

This is the perfect answer to Chevy's ZR-1. Now what are they going to do about it? Time for a ZR-2 perhaps?

11.6@126 for the viper (600hp) versus 11.7@125 for the 505 hp Z06. Numbers are from Car and Driver's October 2007 issue.

I do not think that a ZR-2 will be necessary to be faster than the Viper.

US of A HP wars. C&D rated the Z06 #1 when compared to the New 600HP Viper! Viper must lose allot in the drive train with only .1 sec faster than Z06. Z06 is still the best daily driver and Viper more of a toy. ZR1 is going to be scary..the rumors I have heard and read. Can't wait!

Z06 vs GT-R..hopefully test Z06 with the leather option interior.

I doubt the Viper chassis can keep up with all that power.

And many of you obviously don't understand that BHP is not relative to acceleration in the real world.

Drive-train losses? how about more likely culprits: Weight, final drive ratio, gearing, traction, torque curves.

I think it will do just fine...

The Hennessey Venom puts out 1000hp, and the chassis handles it okay. This one has been updated, and im sure the engineers have upgrades apporiately
