Clarkson may be prosecuted for being on his cell while driving

Atleast someone that will give American Cars a chance...lol. Besides that, he will be hard to replace. His charisma is a great asset to the show/mag.

macker83 , whatever do you mean by "american cars are crap" ??? The Cadillac CTS is one of the best cars on the planet and a terrific value as well. The Buick Lucerne can be ordered with a powerful DOHC fuel-efficient V8 at a fraction of the cost of a Mercedes S-class. I admit that cars like Audi have slightly better fit and finish but at what price? American cars used to be crap 20 years ago but have caught up with world class quality today.

The Lucerne has an athsmatic 4.6 V8 with only 275 hp - it's also FWD, with a clunky 4 speed auto, which is unacceptable in this day and age. Poor and mismatched interior trim doesn't help either.
I would much rather have a Lexus ES (Why am I saying this???)

EnnNorak your digging your own grave with a comment like that the CTS is nothing special at all it looked mildly interesting when it came out it already looks dated the interior is honestly better on the Tundra the feel is lackluster at best and in fairness the less said about the Buick Lucerne the better! i cant believe you brought that up, im shocked and stunned by the fact that you still think that a buick would be ahead of any japanese or european cars.

Rupert, you're a smart kid, but you obviously have never driven a 4.6 northstar. it has never been described as 'asthmatic' the 275 bhp figure doesn't do it justice. I agree that the 4 speed auto is outdated, but it shifts more smoothly than the Lexus 5-speed. Also the 4.6 burns 87 octane gas - a real plus these days. Excellent for a design from 1992 if you ask me.

while i don't like the Lucerne much, it does have the most comfortable seats of any car i've ever sat in (including Cadillacs and Lexus) it's almost too comfortable: you will sit down and fall asleep before you turn the ignition key....

You've got some nerve to talk about bad handling, boring interiors, and no passion. Those descriptions sound like Japanese cars to me.

I changed my comment and didn't proof read it properly - I meant the V6 was athsmatic (a push-rod V6??) and however good the Northstar is, the 4 speed auto just ruins everything for me - the best engine could be killed by that.

The small part of a Top Gear Magazine review which mentioned the Lucerne rent-a-car they had with a V8, described it as violent.

Has anyone else noticed that BBC America edits the shows differently for the American broadcast? When the episode from Monday originally aired in Britain it was different from what was shown on Monday night (I watched the original months ago on YouTube). For example, there was more to the RR test than what they showed on BBC America. What's the deal with that? Why the edits?

Really what's up with the green lovers, couple years ago they threw him a pie on his face, and now they have to spy on him while driving to try to put him into sentence. Really, these green lovers are like persistent fungus.

Give him a break, the cops did not see him breaking the law and so he wasn't given a ticket. It's similar to situation when we speed over the limit, if some junkie decides to take the pic of my car while i speed and shows it to the cops, should it be fair to prosecute me? He needs to be detected while breaking the law by the authority, otherwise, there should be no action against him.

Clarkson can drive while talking on cell better than most drivers can with both hands on steering and fully concentrating.

Aside from that note, whoever photographed him and whoever else is going out of their way to proesecute him for such a small violation f.ks their father in the azz.
