The Caparo T1 is powered by a 575 horsepower engine and it weighs in at only 1,213lbs. The amazing part about this car is that the power to weight ratio is twice as good as the Bugatti Veyron that costs $1 million. It shoots to 60mph around 2.5 seconds and reaches 100mph in less than 5 seconds. The price is said to be $378,000.
It is not the first time an unknown company has come out with a fast car but not all have succeeded due to financial problems.
The CEO of Comparo stated that he has no desire of being the next Enzo Ferrari but would rather use this car to help promote their know-how in manufacturing components.
The Comparo company is a major player in the the India Market for steel and vehicle components. They generate more than $1.3 billion annually. The brains behind the T1 are none other than Ben Scott-Geddes and Graham Halstead, two engineers known for working on the 94' McLaren F1 supercar.
