I love the C6, it's only Corvette that's actually worth its low price tag.

Actually it's only very quick to 200 kmh, in the 0-300 (186mph) test it is beaten by even the M6.

Condisering ur so called M6 is a V10 powerted car, so I wouldn't brag that much if I were you.

i love the new m6 as much as the next bmw owner, but the Z06 is more than just fast to 200kmh...the Z06 would out run the M6 to 60 ive seen times as low as 3.8 and it barely costs 70 grand factor in the other features at that price, and the Z06 has to be one best if not the best performance value out there.

1) the M6 is a GT and weighs A LOT more than the Z06
2) that silly video of yours shows nothing! The Corvette is extremely fast to 100 and 200 km/h but in 0-300 km/h it would lose (by a couple of seconds) to the M6. Mind you unrestricted M6s can crack 330 kmh easily (507 hp.... yeah right!)

That race was to 250 km/hr. and the Z06 was undeniably pulling on the M6, and that was from a rolling start. From a stand still it would be even a larger margin. Besides, I agree with you the M6 is a GT, and a better car, I like better in almost everyway as well, but your the one who said it would beat it to 300 km/hr, I was simply offering some clarity and accuracy with some proof.

"followed by the naturally aspirated Porsche 911 GT3 with 316km/h."

This once again shows that I'm right. Porsche always understates their performance figures. Both 911 Turbo and GT3 (RS) have a topspeed of 310 km/h but in reality the Turbo can easly crack 320.

Though it would be out handled by the likes of the RUF and Gallardo. It's still a rather impressive, well done. It's actually one of the only American cars i like.

According to this article a modified Porsche is the fastest street legal roadcar, at 242 mph.

I also remember the Callaway SLedgehammer, based on the c4 Corvette being said to do 254.76

It seems like every publication likes to list a different car as the fastest street-legal road car.

johnel...

considering the Z06 weighs 250kg less than the M6... I would brag about the BMW.

Z06 is a good american car, but not great. It still lacks merit.

Merit??? The C6? I mean, damn, what does it have to do? The C6R is dominant in it's class and the Z06 blows away anything in it's price range and then some..

I'm not a Corvette fan but the Z06 is quite impressive. Best bang for the buck in any sportscar. Of course for nearly 3x the price I'd take the Gallardo any day.

Regardless of price, most people would choose the Gallardo on styling alone.

So I had 150K to spend on a car... did I get two Z06? I went with a 997 GT3, and a 328xi for an everyday car. Bang for the buck means I would get two or three if I had the money for it. Besides, Bang for the buck is a retarded arguement for car lovers restricted by $$$.

Veyron was tested at the VW test track. 12 miles of flat land.

Besides, if $$$ was no option, most of you wouldn't get a Z06.

The Corvette does have great value for a performance-oriented car. Just look at the cars that the C6 has been compared to and look at their price tags...

Of course that doesn't necessarily mean that you personally would WANT a Corvette over a GT3, but the point is you can get a car that performs similarly for way less dough.

Bang for the buck there is nothing on the street that could touch a Z06 for under 100k dollars. Thats why I bought my Vette is I have much more torque and close to the hp of an Enzo for alot less money!
