Will,Get your eyes checked or remove the Toyota shades. It's a small C class not an S class.Everybody knows the C class is safer than a Toyota Corolla, but to get crushed like a soda can while the MB can still open/close the doors is pretty pathetic and speaks volumes of MB engineering.— Ben55 (View Profile)

I agree. The C-Class is only slightly bigger than the Corrola, but you wouldn't know it looking at the aftermath. Mercedes makes some of the best engineered cars in the world.— eric2097 (View Profile)

That white car got rocked. It looks bad, but you'd need to get the full story. It's a bitd odd that both cars are only 1/2 a foot a part and perfectly aligned. Did one get creamed while idle? If they were both moving, you'd think there'd be more debris and both (atleast 1) would've bounced off the other (especially if it was an off angle collision). Since the white car got crushed, it should've absorbed all the Benz's kinetic energy and flown back, with the Benz following it. My guess is that the one car got pushed down the highway a bit and the rest of it is there.I highly doubt the one guy lived though.— huu76 (View Profile)

I agree. The car's position in the photo is not accurate. Also, the C Class is rear wheel drive and therefore has a lot more space and parts to absorb the impact whereas the corolla is a front drive economy car model that was designed to be light, compact and has a small front wheel drive drivetrain that moved to the passenger compartment. Bottom line is not everyone can afford a mercedes. But it makes you feel confident to think that you'll be safer in it in an accident. In a Toyota, you just have to hope for the best. But I think the newer Toyota models have good crash test ratings.— woood (View Profile)
