When I had the chance to drive a 2014 Rolls-Royce Phantom, I knew I couldn't pass it up. It's not because I was particularly geeked out about the chance. It's cool, no doubt, but there was something I had to better understand: what is it like?

The reason why this question is so important is because when it comes down to dollars and cents, the Phantom is not cheap by any benchmark. Unless, of course, you're a particularly successful individual whether that's through athletics, entertainment or business.

Though it may be a bit vulgar to show the sticker, ultimately, this is what people do want to see and know. Also, we are an automotive site. Interested parties will want to know options cost. People want to know "So, how much does it cost?" And like the age-old saying goes, if you have to ask you cannot afford it.

As Rolls-Royce provided a loaner vehicle from its small fleet, it is a vehicle that is displayed at auto shows and is used for other various Marketing events. So, keep in mind it has some particularly intriguing options that takes the Phantoms base price up about $85,000 bucks.
