While we may have started talking about the 2013 Detroit Auto Show with comparisons and questions surrounding the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette and the Audi R8, it's time to tap into the real meat and potatoes of the four rings.

Though Audi has a full plate with the debut of the RS5 Convertible, RS7 and 2014 R8, we were particularly interested in the launch of the SQ5. That's because it is such an interesting product. In some European markets you'll be able to pick up the SQ5 TDI, but stateside we'll have a gasoline-powered version to lust after.

This is an important launch for Audi for two reasons: 1) It is the first S-Line vehicle to be powered by a TDI motor -- even if we're not getting it -- and 2) There hasn't been an SQ7 now, has there? The SQ5 is in a class of its own and given the nature of these things, we're going to guess than an SQ7 isn't too far off from this point.
