While folks tend to say we "try" to work Audi into every one of our stories, that's just not true. However, we do call 'em as we see 'em and after looking through the gallery for the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, this was as clear as day. At least to me.Lincoln is a storied marque and it's certainly going to take some time to bring it back up to speed -- if it makes it at all. But this all-new MKC Concept it trotted out for this show actually seems to be easy on my eyes.Sure, I can do without its front grille but considering what the brand has been putting out in recent years, to me this is a HUGE step up.Then I compared it with the Audi SQ5. Of course its the sporty rendition but I -- more or less -- crossed my eyes and I noticed there were quite a few similarities between the two. Coincidence? I think not. Check out the vehicle's overall size and shape. Then if you really want to get creeped out, compare both of their side profiles. Note the shape of the glass as it approaches the D-pillar?The icing on the cake? Check out the rear hatch. It's that similar one-piece job.At the end of the day, I could care less if Lincoln took some creative license from the Q5 because I do know one thing: This is the first Lincoln I've liked since the 1960s Continental Convertible. What say you, Spies?Do YOU see some Q5 in the MKC Concept?AutoSpies.com is the number one site in the world for Auto Show photos. Shameful copy from Lincoln with a few tweaks that makes it uglier. Mistaken belied that toy can rescue a fading brand by copying the design of a runaway successful one. Probably will sell huge numbers in China where stealing a design is admired and sought after. — cyberlancer (View Profile)

With the exception of the moustache grille, I like the design of this Lincoln. The Q5 looks outright dowdy in comparison. I don't really see the Q5 resemblance vs. influences from Buick, Subaru, and Hyundai.— cidflekken (View Profile)

There are worse vehicles to copy. Actually doesn't look bad. Grille is still too large, but better than the huge waterfalls of the current models.— atc98092 (View Profile)

What??? You mean they are both four door compact SUVs? Of course they look somewhat similar. The Lincoln looks like it got its styling cues from the new MKZ. I don't think any copying is going on here. Maybe Audi should be taking styling cues from Lincoln, the MKC looks better than the Q5. — PLAY (View Profile)

How (not)sad to see the once mighty Lincoln being used as a tampon by Audi! What kind of an idiot would buy this bad copy of a SmartEuro design? Drug dealers, pimps, and mental cases. I'm sure it will rust away.— 1CarSmart1 (View Profile)

With the exception of the awkward break in the middle of the mustache grille, this design is the best thing from Lincoln in several years. Finally. — lexusrox123 (View Profile)
