This year's past Detroit Auto Show was an interesting one. While it was full of plenty of intriguing debuts, launches and first looks, only one vehicle can take the number one spot in the Agent's hearts. Given that the Detroit show didn't feature many futuristic concepts or vehicles that showcased something a bit zany, we were a bit let down. I think it's safe to say that the only vehicles that actually showed an automaker going out on a limb were the Hyundai HCD-14 and Nissan Resonance Concept. The rest were production vehicles that were really there to gain audience reactions. That said, we made our pick from the following list:- 2014 Chevrolet Corvette "Stingray"- BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept- 2014 GMC Sierra 1500- 2014 Audi RS7- 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class- Volkswagen Cross Blue Concept- Hyundai HCD-14 Concept- 2014 Lexus IS- Nissan Resonance Concept- Ford Atlas ConceptDrumroll, please. For the Agents, it was a pretty close victory but we have to say that the vehicle' we would want most leaving Cobo Hall would be the 2014 Audi RS7.This shouldn't come as much of a surprise to the AutoSpies faithful who saw us name the 2012 A7 THE stylish product for that model year. With its souped up powerplant, stunning looks and — frankly — magnificent interior, the RS7 has won our hearts over quite easily. The RS7 has a certain chutzpah that really makes it "the one" over its competition. We're looking forward to seeing the RS7 on roads near us soon!Official Detroit Auto Show photo gallery**The 2013 Detroit Auto Show Gallery and coverage is sponsored by Lexus

No offense, in five years you will wish you had picked the Corvette. It will still perform and look great while Audi will have moved on in a different direction.— PUGPROUD (View Profile)

I liked the Corvette but I didn't LOVE the Corvette. It's not a car I yearn to own.The RS7 is a whole other story. And I will politely disagree and say the RS7 30 years from now will STILL look great or and be cool. This generation of Corvette will be forgotten then.001— Agent001 (View Profile)

Well, it is really a VW CC on steroids. I guess the Agents could have made a worse pick.— vdiv (View Profile)

A good choice. Better than american trucks or sports cars (is there a difference, hahahaha) and better than many less eco-friendly choices. This Audi with a hatchback can do 99% of a trucks job, with a much smaller carbon footprint. — 1CarSmart1 (View Profile)

That's interesting; my brother lives in Philly; went to the autoshow too. I just text him and he said there was NO Audi S7 there at the time. — gkearns56 (View Profile)

@gkearnsWhile trolls are a prominent problem on the internet, I have to say we gotta give him the benefit of the doubt. A lot of the times MFR's move cars in/out of shows.— Agent00R (View Profile)

Been studying cars and American culture and love of material things... Americans are trained to believe that everything foreign is better.. It's no surprise that a lot of us on this car forum feels the same way who all here have test driven a BMW vs. A caddy.. Corvette vs porsche?, jeep Cherokee vs Any toyota or honda suv?...If you haven't experience any of these cars how can you say the foreign car is superior? I was at this year's auto show in Detroit and I say all those cars there, and I must say that the only cars that intrigued me was the stingray vette and the BMW, i thought that I wasn't gonna like the vette but I think that ppl really need to see that car in person, it's gorgeous, and im not a BMW fan neither but that BMW also surprised the heck outta me, the car is stunning... The only thing left for me now is to test drive them both.. Then and only then I can give a unbiased opinion.. — Eezzyj77 (View Profile)

As said above, though trolls are here and there the AutoSpies demographic is one of the strongest on the web -- especially when compared to other automotive sites. People here actually own(ed) Corvettes, 911s and just about everything else under the sun.— Agent00R (View Profile)
