The Veloster Turbo has been floating around the rumormill since even before the original made its big debut. Finally though, those words have turned into reality with the breaking of yet another embargo.

As Hyundai tweeted a couple of months ago, the day is finally here when the Turbo can see the light of day NOT wearing a ton of camouflage. Though not all of the vehicle's details have been revealed, this is what we do know:

Its motor will produce just over 200 horsepower and 196 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine will be coupled with a six-speed manual row-it-yourself transmission or be optioned with a dual-clutch unit. And unfortunately its weight will increase to around 2,800 pounds and its mpg will decrease to 27/38, city/highway.

But if you want that added power, you've gotta pay the piper somewhere down the line.

We wonder if Honda, Volkswagen, MINI and Scion are watching these developments in fear...
