Dealer asks for over $154,000 for Shelby GT500KR
When Ford announced the pricing for the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR at $79,995, we thought why someone wouldn’t go for a Nissan GT-R which is faster and better in every way. Then news came out of dealers charging over $90,000 to get behind the wheels of Godzilla.

Well the Nissan GT-R may still be a better buy seeing as dealers are asking over $154,000 for a new 2009 Shelby GT500KR on eBay. A Texas dealer has put up an auction on eBay Motors with a ‘Buy it Now’ price of...

Because someone is in a dream state at that dealership or his granddaddy taught him that there's a sucker born every minute.

Exactly...if no one would buy an overpriced car the prices would go down, BUT there is always someone willing to pay so they can have bragging rights of being the first few to have...dumb!

I was looking at the GT500KRs last night on Ebay too, and noticed that as well. I didn't bother to look up the MSRP, because it seems like everyone was asking roughly $135k-$150k for the, so I figured the MSRP was around $125-130k. $80k!!!and dealers wan't almost 2 times that amount......good luck with that.

I doubt there is a drug potent enough to cause symptoms of such extreme stupidity.

At only 1000 units, this car is a collectable and whether your among the circle or group of people willing to pay the price of owning one, the price is strictly based on supply and demand and not on the existence of the GT-R. These are two totally different cars.

haha! this is some funny $#!+... and ford wonders why no one wants to buy a ford... especially when we can buy a better product for half the cost.

did they get rid of that ancient diff & rear axle? cause if they didn't then this car is still gonna suck. The last one had a bunch of useless power. And by useless, I mean that the car couldn't use the 500bhp that it had before cause the a$$ would slide all over the place. For this amount of money I would expect a little new age technology, even if it is only a muscle car.
