You know some people have the connections and some just wish they did.

We are lucky enough to have our good friend Deepflanger that keeps us in the loop with all of the updates for Lexus.

Just how well connected is this guy? Well he correctly told us about the IS updates well before anyone else and just passed us some dealer's eyes only information on the 2009 IS changes just yeaterday. So we tend to believe he has a pretty good source on the inside.

Read deeper my friend

Traction control changes and transmission reprogramming are just a few tidbits. These were big complaints in the past reviews.

other than minor programming you are best to loo elsewhere. This is what Lexus calls minor improvements.

No but since we are face lifting. better integration of the air dam and side skirts could have been addressed.

The WALD looks far better.

Has there ever been a limited edition performance car that created any less buzz than the IS-F?

The car is already forgotten about and it hasn't even been out for a complete year. Why does Lexus always have to build also-rans when it comes to performance vehicles?

Homer007- I own a couple of Japanese car. I can't help it if you don't like the changes. I am mearly a conduit of the information.

You might be better off applying to Lexus as a product engineer if you want more changes.

- real exhaust tips... checked.
- lights for the driver's windows buttons... checked.
- re-engineered console buttons... checked.
- re-engineered console air vents... checked.

Well... finally... now Lexus has an ECU for windows too !! This was the last improvement I was waiting for so I can switch to Lexus. The lights for the window buttons is a nice touch too... I am sold now...!!

Give me a break !!! Add a few thousands for your next car and buy the real thing...

Less weight by 10-15%
LED headlights
Sporty tailgate lamps
Stronger appearance differentiation from IS250/350
Torsen rear differential with lock (Torsen belongs to your mothercompany - Toyota)
Speed depends rear spoiler position like Porsche
...
