EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: How Would You Like To Be Able To Buy THESE BMW M3's? HOT!
When you're known as THE place to see the best spy photos of anything auto, you get a lot of people sending you their favorite UFO-Style stories and photos and want us to publish them.

And as you can imagine (well, I don't think you can), we get some REAL beauties!

But every once in a while we find a budding star.

Today is that day.

Our new friend and AutoSpies.com contributor Michael Leonhard has really got the goods!

You've probably seen his take on the 2010 Dodge Charger (See associated article) but my assignment for him was a little more selfish.

I did an article a while back asking if the biggest mistake BMW made on the new M3 was not offering it in the traditional 2 or 3 LOUD, IN YOUR FACE colors.

BMW M3 Color Article

I love the new BMW M3 but I wish I could order one in a wicked cool color like in these pics from Michael.

SHOULD BMW add one or two of these colors to the order guide?

Check out our exclusive photo mockups you won't see ANYWHERE else (of course until every one of our competitors steals them and posts them as theirs!)

About Michael Leonhard in his own words...

Well, I am a car nut and I love what I do, and I do it with heart and soul.
I am 31 years old and have been active in car styling & design for 10 years now.
My activities have included car designs for magazines, after market and private customers so far.
To me car design offers a lot of personal expression.
Action, passion, enthusiasm and emotion are part of my personality in connection with car design.
Coming visible in the creative process through designs and works.
It's also a kind of lifestyle. Creativity makes life better.
Besides automotive design I am also interested and active in other genres, that are further connected with cars and lifestyle.
I love Hot Rod and Custom Culture and I create low brow art (kustom kulture artworks).
These movements are very creative and progressive and in the past it often happend that auto makers took inspiration from this scene for concept and production cars.
Generally I think, besides creating a balanced and good design, giving a car an highly emotional touch is crucial. A object that awakes desire, a thing that carries the power of dreams."

Purple without the black accents looks cool.

(yeah, I'm a Lakers fan)

Nice selection, is BMW going to send them to the M&M factory for the hard candy shell???

Notjustlex, maybe you didn't see that these colors were commissioned by Autospies, not BMW. The M&M joke was just hilarious though, I'm in tears. <sarcasm>

I think Blue and Yellow (without the black lines) should be offered, and the others, they look a little too "tuner" scene for me, if you ask me.

The white "club sport" one is also a little too "tuner" for me, though I think that something like that, white with M color accents should be offered, but the white one has a little too much blue purple and red...

I like the yellow. As long as it doesnt resemble anything like the Pheonix Yellow on the last generation. Prefer to have the Dakkar Yellow from the 1995 to 1997 M3 back.

Were these pictures done by a 5 year old kid using Photoshop?

Autospies has to make anything related to BMW "Exclusive".

Anyway, the purple one looks okay. BMW made a color called "Techo-Violet" which was really nice.

I'm sure this will be a color for the 1-Series in the future.

Gotta say that some of these don't look right on a BMW. Agree that the stripes just don't work at all. That green is very ugly IMO. Also, BMW has perfected their shades of blue with Interlagos, Montego & Monaco, so the shade above seems unnecessary.

However, I miss the days when you could order a Yellow M3 and think Orange would be a great idea.

Are you KIDDING!? That's Laguna Seca Blue! There is no purer blue on a BMW!

No, to my eye that looks very similar to their current shades of blue. I prefer Interlagos above them all.

Germany would never allow such colors!

Italy on the other hand... :)

Biggest mistake BMW made was dropping Technoviolet. Best color for an M3. At least for the E36. I saw one individual E46 M3 in that color and it looked awesome as well.

I would definitely take the blue (which is just like Audi's Sprint Blue) or the white with black stripes (Tii).

I'd choose between the orange, green, yellow, and blue ones.

Too bad I can't even drive yet.
