EXPOSED: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V Caught "Naked"
Any speculation about the styling of the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V can now be laid to rest thanks to our exclusive spy photos. Snagged during a photo shoot of the upcoming Cadillac super sedan, these shots reveal a CTS V-Series with a dramatically revised front end, bigger wheels and tires and a few modest changes out back.

It seems like Cadillac doesn't mind if their car is caught with no camouflage. You'd think that they would put a bit on if they really cared. More publicity, I guess.
Anyway, nice. Not sure what it will compete with exactly, though.

I think the reason why there is no camo on the car is that KGP captured these photos while GM was taking some official shots of the car. If you look at the 6th photo on Edmund's site, you'll see the car is following a SUV with a photographer in the back.

They put camo on the updated 2008 Lexus GS. You think anyone would notice THAT?
The CTS-V is far from subtle.

Nice. This thing is gonna be a beast. Aren't those the same wheels from the G8 Concept?

Looks good, but not worlds better than the base model like it's predecessor did.

I'm inclined to agree... the previous CTS-V looked awesome compared to the normal model, and completely different.
This one? It's nice and all, but the base CTS looks incredible already, so there's not much room for improvement.

Somethning doesn't look right. The exhaust looks similar to the one on the regular CTS.
A twintip dual exhaust would better compliment the "V", and make the rear much more distinguishable from the standard CTS.

what's everyone's obsession with exhaust tips? it's probably the last thing i look at on a car.
the body styling is distinct enough, who cares about a little hole that the exhaust comes out of?

I never liked the electric-shaver grille of the Cadillac-V models. I disagree that this looks miles better than the already-good-looking regular model.

What's under that hood? Our best sources have been telling us to expect a normally aspirated LS7 V8, but a recent interview with Cadillac General Manager Jim Taylor seems to confirm the other most talked-about option — a supercharged 6.2-liter V8.........
I'm not dissing Cadillac or anything (I think this is the best CTS by far!), but do they really need it supercharged? AMG made a 6.2-liter V8 also, but naturally aspirated - 6.2 liters is a lot already!!!
I'm usually not a fan of American cars, but this car is pretty cool (along with the Corvette).

It is the 6.2L supercharged, detuned from upcoming Vette. High altitude testing to make sure blower works at altitude confirms this.

Perhaps you feel as though the CTS-V might actually BEAT BMW at its own game.

Your right, a faster, cheaper, more comfortable car than a BMW 3 series defiantly is not worth taking note of. Unless of course you live in Europe where Caddy can't get anything right currently.

It wasn't a CTS-V concept but rather an extensive sport package with mostly visual upgrades and suspension bits, but with same engine as the normal CTS.

I don't see too many CTS (new or old one) or CTS-V (old one) around my area too often. I saw one of the new CTS, and I thought that it was nice, but not something that I would get, because I like German cars. But I still thought that it was a nice car. I hate their advertisements though... kinda weird...

Not everyone that drives a BMW feels the same way. I wholeheartedly respect what Cadillac is doing and has done! The CTS or CTS-V is something I can definetly picture in my driveway...right next to my BMW!

The old CTS-V wasn't a bad car it just wasn't a great car. I'm not to fond of many home grown cars, especially sport coupes, but I'm really hoping that this will be a great car. I hope GM took the time to properly refine this car rather that just put a stiffer suspension, and a bigger motor on the V-6 model. Because if that's the case GM should fire whomever makes those decisions, cause a high school kid could tell you that making those mods will give you a faster car, but it won't necessaryily make it a luxury sports coupe. Come on GM, give us something to be proud about.
