Due for introduction late next year as a 2009 model, BMW’s next-gen 7-series saloon has been spotted in recent months undergoing testing on both sides of the Atlantic.
Though the test cars revealed some basic details such as the overall shape and wheelbase, their heavy camouflage meant the car’s final look has remained a mystery.
These latest renderings give us an early look as to what to expect, compiled using information from past spy shots and sources close to the project. As the images suggest, the styling of the next 7-series will be heavily influenced by the current 3-series and won’t be as radical as earlier predicted. The car’s overhangs will be longer than the current model but will sit lower and wider, giving the car a sportier appearance.
