The exclusive STARTECH look further includes stainless-steel rocker panel guards with integrated plastic step for easier entering and exiting of the vehicle.

These components are available for all Wrangler models, with short or long wheelbase. The rear of the Wrangler is protected against minor parking damage by highly polished stainless-steel components. The STARTECH exhaust tip further adds to a more striking rear appearance. The STARTECH spare-wheel cover with highly polished stainless-steel ring rounds out the list of exclusive STARTECH exterior options.

Agree that what they added is mostly useless. As for stainless steel, it would have been useful to have stainless steel door hinges with grease nipples as that is where you often see rust oozing out on a Wrangler. I realize that the article is about aftermarket stuff but If the new Chrysler really wants to make a mark on the auto industry, it should start manufacturing Wranglers with stainless steel frames, aluminum bodies and various aluminum, magnesium and carbon fiber components. Furthermore, now is the time to offer Wranglers with Mercedes diesel engines from the Vision C220 Bluetech.
