F1 Episonage Case Implicates Ferrari Driver
In an unexpected twist to the ongoing drama about theft of confidential Ferrari documents that turned up in the possession of McLaren’s chief engineer, it is being reported by Sky Sports in Great Britain that McLaren’s star driver, world champion Fernando Alonso, could leave the team if McLaren is found to have participated in industrial espionage of Ferrari.

The FIA’s hearing into McLaren’s conduct starts Thursday, but speculation about the penalties that might be imposed has already become rampant in the European press. Apart from heavy fines, speculation centers on the forfeiting of race wins and the accompanying championship points, both constructor’s and driver’s.

And I give my wife crap over watching her "daytime dramas". Geeze, this is getting ridiculous.

Are the ratings that bad for F1 that they need to create these press frenzies?

Ratings are probably only dismal in the US. Last weeks race was exciting, I watched it all the way through. Most F1 races get me purely on the techno end, but then again I understand not everyone is an engineer/designer and not everyone gets off on this stuff.

Last weeks race was insane. I couldn't stop laughing at how many cars spun at turn 1 when it started to pour rain. Props to Hamilton for keeping his engine fired and making it all the way back to 10th.

F1 isn't as big in the US because Bernie Ecclestone is retarded. He's slowly killing the series with his rules and if the manufacturers had any guts, they'd just get up and leave and actually go through with creating their own league.

F1 is the most technically advanced racing ever, yet it's broadcast in YouTube quality...Makes no sense.

I read nothing about a Ferrari driver....this is a source I use and I think it's reliable.

They have mentioned nothing of a Ferrari driver involved.

A board, a publically held corporation...headed by a conglomeration of manufacturers, vested owners ie..Williams, McLaren, Torro Rosso, wealthy ex-drivers, team engineers and managers. Every one gets a vote, one vote, no matter the percentage of vested interest. I am so tired of Bernie and Max's hyjinx. I don't want to lose one of the only racing series I truly enjoy. My Sunday morning's are my time! These two clowns are going to turn it into Euro-Nascar, no thank you my broyher!

Let's not forget Alonso is a teenage drama queen, who is falling behind a newcomer...

He will get past this, not stupid to leave the team with the fastest and most reliable F1 car. Of course he is not going to join fall apart Toyota or save-the-world-by-not-racing-at-all-Honda.
