Facing Problems Galore, GM's Bright Spot: Camaro

Though GM faces problems galore, there is one bright spot in the auto maker’s difficulties.

Its Camaro car is selling like there’s no tomorrow and there are no stocks with dealers. The car sells so fast at the starting sticker price of $22,040 even though there are incentives that dealers want more stock

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is so much in demand that .it can call for $500 more than the list price, forget about incentives. The company had an order book of 25,000 and it has fulfilled half the order book. Now dealers are wanting more because the car is selling so fast, but it will take time for GM to deliver stock.

The Camaro competes with Ford Motor Co.’s Ford Mustang and Chrysler Group LLC’s Dodge Challenger. It has probably benefited from its use as Bumblebee in the movie, Transformers.

I think that GM hit a home run with the Camaro, stylistically (correct?)Hopefully it wont turn out to be a pile of crap like some of the previous incarnations. I saw my first one yesterday afternoon - good for GM.

GM brought back the camaro that went out of production is because they have ran out of ideas. There is a reason why they went out of production in the first place.

veyron sounds sad. So going back to an idea is bad? Hum, so Toyota going back to the FJ Cruiser was stupid along so was Maserati with the Quatroporte, BMW's 1 Series (a successor to the 2002 series) and the Gullwing replacement Mercedes SLS AMG just to name a few.

Your response is very knee jerk it seems with no bases but just emotional rants. What do you post so we can truly try to feel you are a part of this forum?

I am glad they brought the Camaro back. Nice exterior, not so sure on the interior until I get to see one in person... but overall they did a pretty good job here. I do wish it was closer in size to a 1 series BMW and without the chopped top look (more open glass area). So for the next gen version shrink it, lighten it (literally and figuratively) and figure out how to get wheel wells more in line with the 69 model. Am I alone in not liking almost all the new cars flat edged wheel well design?

I'm not a domestic fan but this car is gorgeous!
I like it when you see a car on the road and you say to yourself "wow, I want to drive that."
I don't say that to BMW (boring) let's leave out the exotics, they are all HOT!
Toyota, Honda and Mazda don't have a car that has a WOW-factor. Good for GM, you have a real winner. As a Toyota lover, you have me envious.

I love this car, I would never consider this car because it only carries 4 seats, when a Honda fit can squeeze 5 seats into there car so can the Camero.
