This is the oddest-sounding Porsche Cayenne I've ever sat in.

The speedo is showing an indicated 100 Km/h - 62mph in real money - but I can't hear the engine at all. There's no intake or exhaust note, just wind rustling past the 'A' posts. In fact, it's all a bit eerie as we 'sail' along, as my Porsche driver likes to describe it.

This isn't a real Porsche. It's a new Toyota Highlander that knocked off Cayenes look. Shame on copycat Toyota! Japanese have no soul.

Didn't one of Porshe's execs come from Toyota? I doubt the gas engine was off, I'd contribute the silence to tons of insulation.

Now that Porsche has jumped on board with some tactile product, hopefully the rest of Europe will follow.

This car goes up to 75mph in pure electric mode, adds a whopping 210lb-ft electric torque IN ADDITION to the 3.6 liter V6, and makes the middle east just little bit less relevant to the modern world.

Sounds pretty good to me!
