I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Asking most people here to "look beyond the badge" is equal to asking the sun not to rise.

Anyway, I have always loved the Z. I do wish it was a bit larger in size and the ride was a tiny bit more forgiving, but it is a fun car just the same.

If you are looking for larger size, there is always the G35 Coupe. But of course...with greater size comes more weight. All in all, both are extremely fun cars to drive!

The point is that it's a sports car. Not a sports coupe. Sports car's don't need to be any bigger. Porsche's are roughly the same size, the Z3 and M coupes are shorter than the Z.No it does not need to be bigger. It does need to get lighter though. It still is the best RWD sports car under 30 grand.

But I considered the previous generation Z a sportscar too, and it was bigger.

Your right just as the Porsche Boxster that replaced the 944/968 is smaller. Originally the 71 Z was about 165 inches long. Then later they offered a 2 plus 2 and softened the car. It was not until the mid 90's did Nissan actually make the Z into a sports car again although they still offered the 2 plus 2. They apparently decided for the newest generation that they did not need the 2 plus 2 anymore.I personally like the styling of the previous Z better but this chassis on the current one with this engine is way better. The only problem is the current car is to heavy. I've actually heard the 2009 Z will have a shorter wheelbase and weigh less but ith a 3.7 V6.Should be a very fast car!

Not normally a Japanese car fan, but ever since its release i've had a soft spot the 350Z. Good performance, styling and price.
