I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

"with a top speed of 193 mph" I'll take the turbo 911, has tht speed too w/ DSG. idk, im just a big fan of turbo'd awd cars.

I think they're designed for two different purposes. The GT3 RS is a lighter, 'purer' track oriented car. The turbo is a very capable road going car. If I had a dedicated track car, the GT3 RS would be in the top of the contenders. The Turbo would be my daily driver.

It's not secret the current 911 Turbo cracks 200 mph. Porsche always underestimates their performance figures.

The previous Cayenne S had a topspeed of 242 kmh but in reality it could easily crack 260 if you keep the pedal floored long enough. Measured with a GPS.

The GT3 is a pretty rough race car but still has some comfort. The RS version is much more of brute. Semi-slicks, further weight reduction, short-throw gearbox, rollcage,...

The Carrera GT is no longer produced.

Multiple GT3 owners whom I spoke to say the GT3 is quite comfortable than what most believe. One of the few cars that are wonderful road and track cars, the right balance. The 996 GT3 MKI was a pretty intense road car while the MKII was just as fast but slightly rounded out. The 997 GT3 is slightly softer albeit at an electric pace.

"There is minor differances performance wise between the twin turbo and Carrea GT"

There is a HUGE difference! Ok, they both get to 60 in about 3.5 seconds but in everything else the CGT is alot faster!

0-125 in under 9.8 seconds! Topspeed of over 340-345 km/u (again Porsche understates their performance figures..) and on a track the CGT is more than 12 seconds faster than the 997 Turbo (Nordschleife)

The rear suspension has a wider track than the standard GT3, but what most magazines do not tell you that it is identical to those of the GT3 Cup.

Good video though. If I had the money, I'd buy a GT3 Cup car and trailer that around to various venues.

Love the Turbo, but the GT3 RS will run circle against the 997 TT at the track!!

The 997 GT3 is a whole lot more comfortable than the 996 version. A friend of mine moved into a 997 (not RS) this year and had a 996 GT3. The 997 is a lot more refined.......but is still an animal. I am first in line when he decides to sell it.

Especially the 996 GT3 MkI was a beast! At the time it even was faster than the Turbo. (311 kmh againt 305)

With this car don't even look for comfort it's an all out sports car. Porsche's have always produced amazing numbers with their small engines in comparison to their rivals. Underestimated and understated is what I always say about Porsche.

They make fine sports cars. Their designs are controversial but there is no doubt their engineering is superb.
