@EL34

No it isn't but why compare it to a 15 year old LS. Are you scared it can't do 7:24 around the ring like the LF-A.

The V10 Audi R8's ring times have not been released yet. However, its predicted to set a ring record. Yes, the LF-A can beat the standard R8. As for the V10 version? We'll see.

The R8 is known to be twitchy and losing grip on the track, hope it doesn't hurt somebody :)

Go read the Road & Track mega race track comparison. Every single driver commented that the R8 was the easiest to drive on all of the different types of tracks.

I don't notice anything twitchy about my R8 when I'm running on track days. I do some runs in auto cross as well so I've ran the car pretty hard. The V10 should be better overall especially in the straight lines.

People quit hating the R8. The more you do the more it's obvious you like it. Just respect it and move on.

look at the spies article after performance short falls gs-f on chopping block lfa delayed same old story lexus cant get it right. the is-f couldnt take a 4 year old audi rs4 let alone an m or amg and it wont be able to touch an rs5. lexus should just stick to what they are good at, boring.

The IS-F beats the nose heavy RS4 easily.

Lexus is too much of a perfectionist sometimes, that's why the delay with the LF-A.

auto 001 where does the is-f beat the rs4. doesnt beat it in 0-60 doesnt beat it in handling. Not sure on the quater mile. Not to mention the rs4 is old and wasnt updated cause its being discontinued. If you like lexus thats fine you have your choice but facts are facts.

Well Edmunds timed ISF at 4.8 seconds and Car and Driver at 4.2 so 0-60 times are similar but remember RS4 is AWD. From a rolling start at 60mph the ISF wins.

on a side note I always think its hilarious when people know numbers on a car that arent and may not ever been in production...including 0-60 times, how well it handles, and that kinda thing for a car that has only been in concept, and pre proproduction.......that detailed of numbers, or for that matter a road test hasnt even been conducted and already the RS4 beats it lol...your kidding right

How can Lexus even be brought up in this post. New rule, until Lexus makes a new SC all who love Lexus are banned from saying anything good about that Japanese car company.

its nice I wonder how it will do. if that car can beat out the gallardo they may have something on their hands especially if they make full carbon fiber body version but i still like BMWs they dont have a carto match this car yet but I am sure if the sales do well BMW/Merc will make a competitor

the point is that they don't have a competitor. that's because audi follows bmw right b7fan? that's what you told us before in previous posts.

thats what i dont get about the VW group they have way to many overlapping product lines.....why is Audi fighting Lamborghini with its own product.....

The R8 V10 will remain a class below the Gallardo, seeing as the Gallardo LP560 is allot more powerfull and lighter then the previous Gallardo.

and yet the R8 has beaten the times for the 500hp V10 gallardo on more than one occasion.....not to mention a model with a V10 while undercutting the gallardo in price might be true....an over 100,000 mid engine V10 powered 2 seater is certainly putting it in the same league as the gallardo.....the current R8 is already well over 100,000 as this V10 will only be that much more expensive........and judging by the somewhat slow times of the 500hp v10 gallardo compared to the 420hp V8 its a good chance this R8 will be faster than the new gallardo......so you have a cheaper, faster version of a car and thats not competing with each other....yeah right
