Nice, but really i think I'd have to have it in all black to match the pieces.

Fletcher Jones in Chicago was a horrible dealership. I have a CLK 500 Cabrio and I love it. The black series is intense. Hot ride.

looks aggressive but not overboard.
in typical AMG fashion, understated enough that most poor fools who pull up and try to outrun you will have no idea what they're up against. <grin>

I remember I saw someone with a CLK 63 AMG (Stock) and it looked like he tried to make it look like the Black Series CLK. I guess he didn't know that the real one was coming or he was being cheap.

Horrible interior, especially when you compare it to the latest generation of Mercs.

Nice pics, cl0wn. Could I ask you, what is the function of that rod in the trunk?

That is a stiffened rear strut tower brace used to minimize body movement or flex in turns....

Uff... I know some people will be ready to lynch me for this, but they've ruined the car! The rear venturi tunnel looks horrid, the carbon gills on the front looks even worse and completely out of place... And I don't like the side vents very much either.

And then there is the interior! Why have they gone completely crazy with the carbon fiber in there?! And what's with that tiny gear lever? It looks like it will break off the first time you touch it! And couldn't they at least have bothered making the shift gate look decent? They ran out of ideas and just started using the engineers' beards to hide the gear linkage beneath?!

A Mercedes should be have that understated yet aggressive look to them... This thing looks like it came straight out of Need for speed CARBON! I'll take an E63 AMG please!

Well, then buy the CLK63 AMG. This car pays hommage to DTM!

No... The CLK DTM payed hommage to DTM... This car pays hommage to some guy with a really unnatural love of carbon fiber! IT IS HORRENDOUS! Seriously! I usually love the AMG-models, but this just looks bloody aweful!

Sailor, I agree about the carbon fibre, but the overall look on the outside .... I want to trade my house for one, but I can't afford another divorce!

You know what I find amazing? It has all of this carbon fibre and still weighs more than the larger BMW M6....

But its a Benz. They're all built like tanks.
Safety 1st, then performance & comfort.
Even if its not the fastest thing on the road, it sure looks like it is!

Mercedes, It always be heavier than Bimmers due quality of materials (better on Merc), An edge on security that makes the MB heavier, lot's of gadgets, on overweight on the price which is a fat that no budy will be able to remove, but if you are budget minded, buy the M6 is a better option.

It's amazing what Mercedes can do with such an old and tired C-Class platform. I too would buy an M6 before this.

i love this car but its true that the black series clk is just another tactic to getting rid of the left over clks of this generation. its the same thing nissan is doing with the nismo variant.
