First official images of the Mitsubishi Evo X leaked in Japan-Is it a STUD or a DUD?
A brochure from Japan has accidentally gotten into the hands of customers and has now been posted online, months before the official introduction at the 2007 Tokyo motor show in October.
The brochure has been produced for the Japanese market and therefore doesn't cover the UK/FQ cars, but still gives a lot of information about the factory models and options.
Is it a STUD or a DUD?
Will it be the new king of the hill in its segment?

For what it is, I actually like it. I'd like a different shade of orange tho...that one kinda makes it look like a pumpkin. Something like a papaya orange...or the orange that Lotus uses would be awesome.

Woohooo! I really like it. The hood scoop is a great evolution (no pun intended) of the older evo's, although they could have done something different with the side of the car.

Its much better looking than the STi as well. The STi looks like an over-done riceboy POS. The front is hideous as well. Hopefully the interior feel is much improved as these asian tuner vehicles typically have sub-par quality.

STUD. The Impreza is too plain now and is nothing compared to this aggressive EVO.

Definitely a Stud, it has a very mean, aggresive and sinister beauty in it design in the front view. If I was to get this car, it got to be in red not orange.

I ADORE this thing! It's one of those few Japanese cars that I actually care about!
An EVO always had 0/10 designwise but 10/10 performancewise. But this time it seems the design has gone up! Love it!

The evo has always been a strong STI competitor. When comparing the two Topgear ran a faster time with the EVO Vs. the STI a year and a half ago. Just on looks alone The EVO looks like it has the upperhand on a sleek and "BA" design, and Hopefully will keep its gain on the STI so that Subaru will step their game up.

I guess it's a stud if you like the front end of a Dodge Ram on a little 4 door with a wing.

Stud.
Way better than the WRX. Just need to confirm the quality of the interior.
There was no way Japan, Inc was going to let the maker of the Zero go under in shame with a collapse of its auto company, and it has come back with a vengence.
Very focused and well done. Just need to loose the rear air foil.

While I agree the IS-F is an awesome car...it isn't even in the same category.
The new EVO is in the $34-$38k category and the IS-F will be in the $50 - $55k category.
That is a $15-$20k spread! Apples and Oranges.

Looks like a machine not something as mundane as a regular car which is just, well, an ordinary car. This looks like a well structured MP3 player, or an advanced 12 MP digital camera, this certainly does not look like an ordinary car. This is definitely the best thing to come out of Japan in the last 10 years. It is not sleek, nor is it sexy: because such words only describe a car with feminine characters, this is a total man's car, for this car looks so angry that it might electrocute anyone who is not daring enough to handle this ferocious beast. This one is only for the guys. A total STUD, a total playboy, and a total machine.

It's a STUD, but what I hate is the stupid brochure claiming that "the front facia is inspired by jet turbine engines" and a lot of other marketing crap.
