First pics of 2008 Mercedes C-class estate
The long-awaited Mercedes C-class estate has finally been revealed, with the model due to be shown at the Frankfurt auto show. With a 1500 litre carrying capacity, the C-Class Estate has the largest loading capacity of any small premium car, handily beating the BMW 3-series and Audi A4 variants. Mercedes is pitching the new Estate as a lifestyle car (where have we heard that before?) and will offer it in the same Classic, Elegance, and Avantgarde versions as the saloon. The Avantgarde, in particular, gives the Estate a more aggressive look with the new sporty face of the C-class. Read Article

The B8 definitely will. But this looks pretty good too, especially in AMG package.

Other than that why is Mercedes-Benz calling it an Estate? Merc stationwagons were always the T-Modells?

They've always been called estate in Britain.

Too bad my wife hates station wagons -- she wants a small SUV so I may have to wait for the GLK. So far we have put the 2008 Subaru Tribeca on top of our shopping list as that is the largest possible small SUV that she is prepared to drive. I disagree with those who posted messages to the effect that the Tribeca is a large SUV -- I would be willing to concede that it is mid-size but then again I still classify vehicle size according to the way things were in the fifties and sixties.

The Tribeca B9 is the ugliest car I have ever seen. Right next to the Aztec...the name is even worse.
